José Elías (Eliax) has more than 20 years experience providing business and software development consulting services to Global 1000 companies in the United States, Europe and across Latin America. He is an international speaker on current market trends, future prospects, and Technological Singularity, and owns the popular blog eliax.com, with millions of visitors from all over the world. Also, he has written the first book in Spanish about Technological Singularity, titled Máquinas en el Paraíso (Machines in Paradise); it was published in 2001 and is currently available on Amazon.com. In his book, he explores topics such as robotics, cybernetics, biotechnology, nanotechnology, and the nature of our Universe. He holds a degree as a Scientist and Computer Science Engineer from Boston University, where he has also served as Assistant Professor in several courses of software engineering, microcontrollers, operating systems, and integrated circuit design. In addition, he has collaborated in several international projects with professors from Boston University, Harvard University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
